Welcome to Flavie Michou Joaillerie
Born and raised by artist parents in Paris, designer Flavie Michou developed a passion for arts and crafts from a very young age.
At just age 15 Flavie was offered a place at the prestigious jewellery school Ecole Boulle in Paris, after receiving the highest score in the admission test.
During her goldsmith studies Flavie was introduced to gemology and the painting of gold stones and pearls. She acquired the necessary skills in the assembling and modelling of jewellery working with wax and metals, further developed her polishing skills. Her creativity and artistic interests lead her to a specialization in jewellery designing, obtaining the Bachelor of Arts in “Haute Joaillerie” in 2002 and 2003.
After graduating, Flavie undertook over 5 years’ worth of goldsmith work for various prestigious jewellery workshops on the Grand Boulevard and Place Vendôme in Paris; working mainly with gold and platinum on pieces for brands such as Cartier, Chaumet, Channel, Tiffany & Co and DeBeers, to name a few.
During 2008 Flavie moved to London, become self-employed and worked for different boutiques in the Hatton Garden area, as well as for private customers.
During 2010 Flavie embarked on a whirlwind summer in Lebanon, for mastering the art of setting.
In 2012 Flavie established her own workshop in Hatton Garden and created some exclusive designs under Flavie Michou brand who gave her the opportunity to be selected by the National Association of Jeweller to become part of the IJL Kickstarter and showcase her work.
Since then she quickly build a reputation for high quality work within the industry and supplies a number of jewellery shops in Hatton Garden, takes appointments to design and create the perfect jewellery pieces for her private clients.
2016 Flavie is launching a new collection “Vendôme” inspired by the time she spend in Paris and dedicated all the designs to the craftsman of place Vendôme who really inspired her in her early career.
